TWO WAYS TO STYLE OVERSIZED DENIM THIS SEASON FT SHOPEKPO
I styled this gorgeous oversized denim jacket on two different occasions and on each occasions, so many people where in love with my looks so I decided it was definitely the jacket drawing all the love towards me. This piece is from Shopekpo. An urban contemporary fashion brand that stocks unique made in Nigeria pieces. They have items ranging from shirts, t-shirts, jackets, face caps, pins, badges and so much more.
Shopekpo
The reason I love most of the pieces stocked by shopekpo is cause of the urban uniqueness and culture infused vibe it gives off. Each piece always seems to make a statement. And I mean that literally, almost all the pieces have witty, humorous and sometimes deep quotes inscribed on them. Why am I doing all this long talk? See for yourself by clicking HERE. I styled this jacket from shopekpo on two different occasions (yes, I repeat clothes a lot) (yes, I'm still going to repeat it) (yes, it's still going to make it to blog when I do) The first look, I went all out Afro bohemian chick with a long A line skirt and boots, and let's not forget the Ankara turban. That was my favorite part of the look. Demi of highstreetmania also said she loved the turban. I wore this to the EDC(Eat, Drink, Connect) event that was held in Abuja earlier this month.
Afro centric vibe
A lot of people loved that I paired this jacket with heeled booties and that was strange to me because I feel like boots are the one thing Nigerians don't want to embrace and trust that you will always get a few weird stares when you spot them. I personally love boots and love the fact that more people are embracing it.
I own a few of them, with harmattan fast approaching, I'm definitely going to be whipping them out of my closet more. PS: The t-shirt I'm spotting here is also from shopekpo. Don't you just love the color? Plus can we please take a moment to appreciate this lippie?
Hella hoes
The second look was a more casual laid back look, I wore for brunch with my cousin. Again, it was a day of constant admiration, I think even the cashier at restaurant was hitting on me. Lol. I dressed down with a leggings and a crop top, keeping the whole attention on the denim jacket. This black backpack was perfect for this look and obviously comfort shoes.
My personal favorite has to be the first look. Because it has so much color and is just a little bit unorthodox. But I still love the days of casual comfort from the second look.
Which of the look is your favorite? How would you style an oversized denim jacket?
